Volume lashes also referred to as Russian Volume, Hollywood Volume, 2D Volume, 3D Volume, 4D Volume, 5D Volume, 6D Volume are NEW and advanced technique in the eyelash industry and are taking the beauty industry by storm. Volume Lashes is a revolutionary lashing technique where 2 to 6 super fine extensions are applied to one single natural eyelash according to the condition and health of your eyelashes - SAFELY - creating a soft, fluffy and full look.   The result can be as natural or as dramatic as you wish.

Volume or Volumation technique allows us to apply multiple extensions to ONE isolated natural lash. With a Volume set, the lash extensions used are much finer and much lighter (in weight) and applied in fans of 2-6 lashes to one of your natural lashes, depending on the amount your natural lash can handle. So for every 1 of your own lashes, you get 2-6 times of lashes. Another important part of a proper lash application is the weight of the extension in relation to your natural lash.  When multiple volume lashes are applied, they create a very fluffy and very full natural feather-effect look.

Some commonly used terms for Volume Lashes technique:

2D- 2 lashes per one natural lash
3D- 3 lashes per one natural lash
4D- 4 lashes per one natural lash
5D- 5 lashes per one natural lash
6D- 6 lashes per one natural lash 

 

Natural look -  2D or 3D Volume look up to 3 very fine and light extensions are applied per natural eyelash. This technique produces a soft and fluffy volume and it is perfect for clients with fine sparse natural eyelashes.

 

More dramatic and glamorous -  4D or 5D Volume look can be achieved by placing up to 5 extensions per natural eyelash. For this technique clients must have many strong and healthy natural eyelashes. 

 

Volume Eyelash Extensions are perfectly safe for natural eyelashes as long as they are applied professionally and by a trained and certified master in Volume Eyelash Extensions Techniques. 

Classic or traditional eyelash extensions add moderate to extreme length to your natural lashes.  Volume Lashes are used to improve the texture, depth, and fullness of lashes.

With Classic/Traditional eyelashes we have been limited by the amount of natural lashes a client has as well as the different amount of lashes on each eye.  With traditional lash extensions, we could only safely attach one eyelash extension to each of your single natural lashes.  The length and curve are chosen according to the condition of your natural eyelashes and to suit your facial features and preferences. We could only lash on how many natural lashes you have. This can be disappointing if you don't have many natural lashes yet desire a thicker look.  For years our clients have wanted...."MORE".   Our only options were longer and thicker diameters, which became problematic when our client's natural lashes could not safely support these extensions.

 

Volume lashes are extremely lightweight, allowing the stylist to apply 2-6 extensions per natural lash, or 200-750 extensions per eye! This can not be done with classic lashes, as they are too heavy to apply more then one extension per lash. Volume Lashes are very soft, fluffy and the most natural feeling of all eyelash extensions.  Volume Lashes allow for more customization than classic eyelash extensions. They are also darker than the eyelashes in classic sets, adding a striking richness to your overall look. They come in several different lengths and curls. Volume Lashes are perfect for clients who have very sparse eyelashes and still want it to look natural or for clients who already have a lot of eyelashes but want extremely glamorous look.  Actual amount will vary based on the look you decide upon. These can create a beautiful full yet natural look, up to the most glamorous look you can imagine. In addition, despite the common misconception that more volume equals more adhesive, these lashes require only a fraction of the glue used with classic/traditional extension techniques.

ABSOLUTELY NOT if the lashes expertly applied and well taken care of.  Keeping healthy lashes is team work. They are customized to your natural lashes, so you will never have more lashes than your natural lash can handle. You will actually have more volume than your regular lash because we use lashes that are a fraction the weight of normal lash extensions. Lashes should feel like an extension of your own and you shouldn’t even feel like you have them on.  With VOLUME, we are able to use LESS adhesive than with Classic/Traditional and achieve a better hold. This is because with "Multi-Pick Up" volume or the "fan" of the thinner lashes "hug" the natural lash making more contact. A minimal amount of adhesive is needed.
Re-Lash appointments are necessary in maintaining the look of your lashes. When applied properly, eyelash extensions will last the length of the natural growth cycle of your eyelash. As your natural lashes began to shed, you will notice the fullness of your eyelash extensions decrease. Volume Lashes will last longer before you will notice that you require a refill.  These appointments depend on your natural lash shed cycle, hormones, lifestyles, care & maintenance.  Due to different variables there may be certain times when you may need more lashes than usual. People typically shed between 1 and 5 natural lashes each day, depending on their individual growth cycles. Each of our natural lashes has a life span of 60-90 days and each of our natural lashes is at a different point of its growth cycle. The rate of your growth cycle and how well you maintain them determines the frequency. Refills  or touch ups are needed  approximately every 2 to 4 weeks. The look can be maintained indefinitely with proper care and maintenance.
Volume Lashes set is best for those who don’t have very many natural lashes, for brides who want their eyes to pop in photos and on stage, and for those who just want the dramatic effect of volume.
This technique contains a lot of nuance and requires a significant amount of skill  compared to classic/traditional eyelash extensions. As a result Volume Lashes take a little longer - roughly 2 hours for 2D-3D set.
  • Keep them water-free for 24 to 48 hours after your treatment.
  • Avoid saunas.
  • Avoid oil based products around your eyes. Oil will break down the glue on your extensions and shorten your extensions’ life.
  • When you are cleansing your face, avoid scrubbing your extensions.
  • Brushing is recommended once a day after your shower.
  • We will provide you with detailed aftercare instruction sheet.

Volume Lashes cost more than classic lashes as the process takes more hours to apply the set (2 - 3 hours).
